The Hadji Nadžija Karabegović Agušević Foundation
Hadži Nadžija Karabegović Agušević was born in the 1925 in Nov i Pa zar, in the patriarchal beg family Karabegović also known for being the founder of the first Pazar’s quarter of name Parica. When she was just nine, both of their parents died making her understood what a life without parents love and care can be.
When she was just 16, she married into Agušević family moving from Parica to Aguševic’s street - the place being the truest expression of the multinational and multi-religious spirit of the town.

Enriched by diversity of the Bosnian, Serbian and Jewish neighborhood she has always based her relationship towards other people on principles of human kindness rather then emphasizing national and confessional differences.
Although she became a widow soon, she has brought up her five children through her wisdom and patience helping in meantime the poor, lonesome and unhealthy people to face their great life misfortune or serious illness.
In first place she cared for the most suffering ones confined to the hospital bed. Especially the patients of the health resort of Novi Pazar have been periodically overwhelmed by her kind attention and presents.
She never forgot the youth, especially those keen on knowledge and education. According to individual needs she provided them with help and support in their studies.
In case of indigence, hadji Nadžija organized and financed necessary construction works, such as bathroom building, re-construction of living room or construction of brand new flats for poor and handicapped.
On regular basis she participated in re-construction works made to religious objects.
Helping others was for Hadji Nadžija Karabegović Agušević an act of obligation and responsibility. She transmitted this sense to her son – Ruždija Agušević which was called to accomplish her mission of goodness also after her death.
